Who I am
While working in the medical field, I have been lucky enough to work all over the country. While living in Hawaii, I was struck with Oahu’s beauty everywhere I went and I knew I had to try to capture it. I bought my first camera and started learning about the complexities of modern cameras and photography in general. After snapping a couple photos on hikes, we were all struck with that famous virus we all know and love. In an instant, we weren't allowed to walk along the beaches. Go on hikes. Be around people or experience normal life. My camera had to sit in a bag while this all blew over.
Not long after the onset of the pandemic, I was left without a job for months. Not knowing what my future in cardiology would be, I started diving heavily in to photography education. Spending hours, days, weeks and months in to educating myself on all things photography and lighting. I convinced my friends to let me take portraits for them. Soon, I was working with local models and teaming up to create concept work. Thats’s where I really found my passion. Telling stories through art. Whether it be a creative session, a senior portrait session or headshots. Helping to tell your story and showing someone their reflection has become my greatest joy.
